Went to the SD Zoo with Mindy! Saturday,got to SD around 3pm and napped in the hotel, haha. Woke up and walked around Gaslamp and Mindy bought a Hello Kitty dressed up like panda : ) We had sushi for dinner at this spot called Taka, it was awesome. For dessert we wen to Ghirardelli and got a sundae,mmm. We didnt want to be tired for the zoo the next day so we went to back to the hotel and chilled and watched tv. Sunday we got up and had breakfast at the hotel. We got some bacon and eggs and some sort of awesome french toast with nutella in it. The zoo was awesome i dont need to go into detail just check out the pics

Went to CSUN with Mindy today to see Lupe Fiasco and Talib Kweli. Met up with Khoa there and Kenny Chen showed up later. Had some mexican/chinese fusion for lunch. I had a chinese bbq pork burrito. Lupe Fiasco wasnt nearly as good as the first time i saw him but Talib Kweli was tiiight.

Chris and I went to SD for the day to watch the Chargers/Niners preseason game.We walked around Balboa park for a while. We headed to the Gaslamp after than and grabbed some food at the spot called Neighborhood, the burger and sweet potato fries were awesome. After we ate we headed to the game. There was soo much traffic on the way to the stadium and then we paid $20 for parking, haha. Our seats were row 1 on the field but in a weird corner spot. The view was obstructed most of the time but i guess it was still cool to be at a game.

Santa Cruz/San Jose/49ers

Chris and I drove to Santa Cruz on friday for the weekend. When we got up there we grabbed thai food with Chris's family and got ice cream at Marianne's. On saturday we drove to San Jose and had lunch at the Falafel Drive In (yeah the same one youve seen on Food Network) I had a falafel sandwich and banana shake and it was damn good. After lunch we headed over to 49ers training facility and watched their practice. I hope they do well this season! A couple hours went by and the practice was over but we had a couple hours to kill before we met up with Chris's parents for dinner. We ended up goin to Santana Row which is an outdoor mall filled with high end stores and nice restaurants. It had to have been nice i saw 4 Ferraris and a Maserati in ten minutes. So for dinner we met up with Chris's family at Banana Leaf a Malaysian restaurant. It was my first time having Malaysian food which seemed to be a combination of Thai, Indian and Chinese foods, it was awesome.

Left early friday mornin for SF with my boss and his son for the weekend to pick up 100 boxes of case files to bring down to our Woodland Hills office. Rode in a truck with a horrible ride, it was soo bumpy all the way there and back. Friday night we met up with some co-workers from the SF office for dinner. We went to a restaurant call Town Hall. The food and the atmosphere were awesome and before we knew it almost 3.5 hours had passed. The next morning one of our co-workers from the SF office insisted we meet up with him at 7:45am to go the Farmers Market so we did. As you will see in the pics i had some awesome food. A sampler cone from Boccalone, some lox and one the best pork sandwiches Ive ever had. After we had stuffed ourselves at the farmers market we headed back to the office to load up the boxes. Once we were done we went back to our hotel and relaxed. After a couple hours we headed over to Union Square for some shopping. Evening came around so we decided to grab some dinner at a restaurant called Two which we had been to a couple of times. Unfortunately Two was not as good as it used to be but still decent. We were all still really tired from getting up rally early the past two mornings so we decided to head back to the hotel. I think i crashed out at around 11pm, thats early for me. The next mornin we headed home at around 10am.

Went up to Santa Cruz with Cleo to help move Cal down for the summer. Stopped at The Apple Farm and Garlic World on the way up. Went to this ice cream spot in Santa Cruz called Marianne's, soo good.On saturday we went to the beach and i took some pics, would have been nice if it wasn't cloudy, but oh well. The drive back was pretty crammed but smooth so it was all good.

Tonight a we had dinner at this Persian food spot on Santa Monica Blvd called Darya. The food was good but the best part was the "live music" They had this tubby Persian dude with a Jheri curl singing along quietly with an accent to preprogammed keyboard music of Madonna and Santana. After dinner we hit up the lil Japanese plaza on Sawtelle. They had opened a Yogurt Land there so of course we had to hit it up. We also went to Nijiya which is a lil japanese grocery store in the plaza.

Well, Last week Kevin brought me an old Nerf Vortex that he found at his school! Soo awesome! I still wanted a new one so i looked online and found that Toys R Us sold them, so i went over and bought a back up for when the tail breaks off the old one which is prob going to happen soon.

I didnt really care who won but Chris was going for the Cardinals so i had to go for the Steelers to make it interesting. The game was a really exciting one and the team i was going for won. Today Jimmy, Khoa Chris and I went to the Triumvir warehouse sale in Santa Ana. I got a a jacket and dress shirt for $20!. for lunch we went to Westminster to get some awesome Vietnamese bbq and sandwiches. I was too excited to eat the food and forgot to take pics, haha. I got to see my first fight at Staples Center tonight. "Sugar" Shane Mosley vs Antonio " Tijuana Tornado" Margarito for the WBA welter weight championship. The fight ended with a TKO victory for Shane Mosley early in round 9. There were also some good undercard fights.

First trip of 09 to SF. Rolled up with Chris, Crystal, Jimmy, Khoa. We left on friday around 8pm got to SF around 2:30am. We crashed at Kirsten and Brett's for the weekend, thanks guys ^__^. It was Crystal and Jimmy's first time there. On saturday we had lunch in the Lower Haight and then went and did the whole tourist/shopping thing in Union Square and took the trolley to the pier. Sunday we walked around Haight/Ashbury and took off around 5. All the walking and driving made me damn tired, but good times for sure.

I went up to SF with my boss Eric for a training class for this new timekeeping/accounting program our office is going to be using. The Program is called PCLaw and is made by a company called Lexis Nexis.

We landed in Oakland around 3:oopm and then took a taxi to our hotel in SF. We stayed in the Hyatt behind the Levis store in Union Square. We put our bags down and walked over to our SF office to take care of a few things and went out to dinner with some people from the office. We had dinner at this spot called the Rose Pistola . Eric and I each ordered a whole fish and split. One fish was a Branzino but I cant remember the name of the second.
After dinner we just went back to the hotel and crashed out sinec i had to wake up at 6:00am the next morning.

We got up got ready and had breakfast at this spot around the corner from the hotel called
Sears Fine Foods. I guess they are know for their swedish pancakes so i had to try em
After breakfast we walked over to the building were we were takign our trainging course
The training course was 2 days from 9am - 5pm. The instructor was very informative but did not make me fall asleep so i was pretty happy about that. The Instructor was a former attorney who know just has a law practice management and software consulting firm. He taught the class by telling us about each feature and then applied the feature to a real office situation which i thought was awesome.
After class Eric went to the office and I went back to the hotel and then met up with Kirsten and Brett.
We had dinner at Houston, weird...haha .
I had the awesome piece of salmon sittin on that grill.
After dinner we headed over to Union Square to watch people ice skate on this rink they put in for the winter. It was pretty awesome to sit there and watch people fall on their asses.
After we got bored of watching people fall we decided to grab some desert at the Cheesecake Factory which is located on the 8th floor of the Macy's building. I got some pretty cool pics from the patio
When we got through with desert Macy's was still and Kirsten wanted to check out some purses.
After looking around Macy's we called it a night

Another 6am wake up call.
We had breakfast at another Hyatt that was closer to the building our calss was in. Check out the inside of teh hotel, isnt it awesome!

After class Eric and I looked in a few stores on the way back to the hotel. WE got back to the hotel and relaxed for about an hour then headed out to dinner at Mortons. Check out this shrimp cocktail and steak i had!
After i stuffed my face we headed over to Union Square and once again watch the ice skaters fall on their asses. I tried to get my boss to get on the ice but he wouldn't do it.
Before we called it a night Eric wanted to check out the restaurant / lounge at our hotel on 36th floor. We didnt really feelliek hanging out there, but i took a few pics

We got up had breakfast and headed over to our office. Took care of a few things had lunch and then took a taxi to the airport to catch out 4pm flight which we almost missed
Eric crashed out on the way to the airport, haha
Landed, got my car, sat in traffic and then finally got home and tried to watch the Laker game but i fell alseep around 9pm, haha.

Went to Irvine for the weekend and it was pretty awesome. I left on thursday night and i got the Cleos apt around 10pm. Soon after we hit up Yogurt Land.
We hung out for a bit and watched some tv and then i set up my sleeping spot in the living room.
As i was goin to sleep i kept thinking to myself " man, it feels like i forgot bring something." I thought about it for a lil more and then " oh shit, did i forget to bring my jeans, noo way." I get up in the morning and check in my bag for my jeans and they werent there, haha. So Cleo and I got up and got ready for the day and went to her school so she coudl get some of her books. After that we went to Irvine Spectrum so i coudl get some jeans at Levis. Lucn time! We went to Sam Woo for lunch and got some noodles
After lunch Cleo needed to do some grocery shopping so we did that and then went back to her apt and hungout. For dinner we met up with our friends Nicole and Erin at the Cheesecake Factory @ the Fashion Island, but not before getting lost and being an hour late, haha. After dinner Nicole & Erin went home and Cleo and I rented Eastern Promises.

The next morning we went to Mimis Cafe for breakfast and then went back to the apt. Matt was coming down in a few hours so we coudl go to Dland! While waiting for Matt Cleo and i walked over to the shopping center next to her apt. We looked around in Active and Ross. We both ended up bauying these way soft throw blankets for $12, haha. Matt called us and he was almost here so we walked backed to the apt and met up with him. Then we went to DLAND!
The next morning we got up hung out for a lil then went back to Sam Woo for lunch
I hung out after for a lil after lunch then headed home.

SF office move

Thursday the 12th my boss Eric and I flew up to SF to help out our SF office move. The office moved from 88 Kearny to 350 Sansome.
Thursday night Eric and I went to dinner at an Italian restaurant called Kuletos. I had
Radicchio wrapped in pancetta w/ basil cream sauce
Braised lamb shank w/ asparagus risotto
and for desert Canolli

We didnt do anything afterwards because we had to get to the office early the next morning.

So the next morning we got up and went to office and helped finish packing up the office so the mover could come the next morning take everything to the new office.
Nino, attorney from the our Woodland Hills office happened to be with a client in SF so we called it a day at around 4pm went back to the hotel and met up with. Chris, Linda and Brittany from the SF office also met up with us. We met up with everyone at the The Pied Piper Bar @ The Palace hotel where Eric and I were staying. Everyone had some drinks and some snacks, I had some truffle oil french fries , soo good. While sitting at the bar in coversation we learn that Ninos client is from Alabama and had never been to SF, so of course we had to do the tourist thing so we hopped on the trolley and went for a ride

We got to the end of the line and went to this spot called the Buena Vista that is known for their Irish Coffee.
After everyone was done with their coffee we took a limo over to a retaurant called Joe Dimaggios Italian Chop House.

I had the porterhouse, i ate the whole thing!
After dinner we a took a limo back to The Palace hotel and called it a night.

The next morning we went to the office to let the movers in and watch em so they didnt break anything while moving. After they loaded up they said they would need abotu and hour to get everything over to the new office so we headed down the farmers market and had some brunch
After brunch we headed to our new office location and made sure all the right boxes made it into the right offices and then started unpacking.
That evening i took the muni over to Kirsten and Bretts place in the Sunset. Chris was in Santa Cruz visiting his parents to he came up SF to hang out for the night.
We hugn out with Kirsten and Bretts cats and dog for a bit.
We headed over to the bike shop called The Free Wheel so can could buy myself a Freight Baggage backpack and picked up my friend Jordan a messenger bag. Kirsten had to work that night so we dropped her off and Brett. Chris and I headed over to Houstons for dinner

I dont rememeber what we did after dinner at all, haha

The next day was more unpacking and setting up the new office
After work i went back the hotel and Kirsten and Brett came and picked me up. We ended up having dinner at Houstons again because Kirsten said we went without her the night before and she realyl wanted to go. I didnt mind, they have good food.

After dinner we drove to Treasure Island. I had never been there and had no idea how weird and rundown it was and people still lived there. I wish i had some pics to show you but for some dumb reason i didn't take any. We headed over to a movie theater downtown and saw The Happening, it could have been the worst movie id see all year. To finish the evening on good note we went to had some desert. I had a berry cobbler w/ ice cream and Kirsten and Brett had milk shakes

The next day at the office consisted of more unpacking and organizing and running all over town to get things for the office.
For Dinner that night Chris, Linda, Eric and I went to an awesome restaurant called TWO. I had been there before so i knew it was good so i was excited
we had a tuna tartare appetizer

and ice cream sandwiches for desert
1. oatmeal currant cookie w/ vanilla cinnamon ice cream
2. chocolate chunk cookie w/ espresso ice cream
3. Butterscotch bar w/ peanut butter ice cream

the next morning we got up got on the BART and headed to the airport
I guess bossman was tired, haha

Chris, Jimmy & I drove Cleo back to Irvine and hung out down there for the day. It was pretty hot that day so we decided to hang out inside at South Coast Plaza for a while. After it cooled down we went to Cleo's apt to get her and she drove us to the Irvine Spectrum. So basically for most of the day we went shopping. The best part was Chris and Jimmy were acting like lil kids and jumping and wrestling and throwing water on each other from whatever fountain they passed. After all the walking around we did we got hungry so we went to this Chinese restaurant called Sam Woo. Sam Woo is delicious the bbq pork, hollow vegetable and chinese broccoli was really good. We finished eating and decided we needed some dessert so Cleo took us to the this spot called Yogurt Land. Yogurt Land is a self serve frozen yogurt spot that always has a line out the door where you have around 10 flavors to choose from. You just grab a cup fill it up and add on whatever toppings they have there. They charge $0.30 an ounce which isnt bad, i filled up a cup i could not finish and it was under $5. We hung out around there for a lil then went to back to Cleo's apt and called it a night. Hopefully i make a return to Sam Woo and Yogurt Land in the near future!

So today Chris and I had nothing to do so we headed back to Pasadena to hang out with Matt and Cleo. Matt had alot of projects he hd to finish for school so Cleo, Chris and I walked around for a few hours and hung out. After we walked around we went back to Matts place and all went out to eat at this lil chinese food place called Phoenix. The food was cheap and good, ill be goin back there again.

Kings / Pasadena

So today Dan, John ( Dan & Matt's Dad ), Sammy and I went to the last Kings game for the season. They played the Ducks and lost, weird....
After the game we went back to Westlake hugn out for a couple hours and then Dan, Sammy, Chris and I went out to Pasadena. We met up with Matt & Cleo. I also met this dood Boboh who was pretty cool. Doug and Jackie also met up with us. So we took our whole crew and grabbed some dinner at this Burger counter place.
The food was aight. Mattt and I sepertated from the group for a lil and headed over to see Duncan who was also out there getting tattooed. I met this dood Spencer that was tattooing Duncan. He seemed like a pretty cool dodo as well. After we talked for a bit at the tattoo shop Duncan, Matt and I headed over to Boboh's place where the rest of the group was hangin out. After we got there Boboh conviced us to get some frozen yogurt that was " a block away" the place ended being a mile away which isnt eve that far but its was pretty funny since we were all only expecting to walk a block. After we walked back from the yogurt place we called it a night. Sorry i didnt really take and pics this day

LA Sports Day

1:00pm Kings vs Stars
7:00pm Dodgers vs Red Sox @ the Coliseum

Dan, Sammy & I went to the Kings game in the afternoon. The Kings lost 7-2 to the Dallas Stars, weird....After the Kings game we picked up Matt at Union Station ( he took a train from Pasadena) and headed over to Dodger Stadium where they were offering free parking and a shuttle to the Coliseum.
When we got there we were pretty hyped. Dan and Sammy picked up some merch outside the gates and then we headed in.
Walking through the tunnel to our seats and to come out to this huge stadium was pretty intense. being around 115,000 people is no joke. The Crowd being mostly Dodgers fans was pretty awesome.Walking around the Coliseum was pretty nuts, drunk people everywhere just yelling "Boston Sucks!"and whatever other colorful phrases they could think of. Even in the bathrooms when a Red Sox fan would walk in everyone would start yelling " Boston Sucks!" " you should be in the womens bathroom!"
The night started out well. They had a few people come out and speak and they gave Vin Scully some sort or award. Once the game started it seemed to go downhill. People Just nonstop walking up and down the aisles blocking our view of the game. There was this group of 4 guys near us that drank a lil too much and one of the guys was being a touch too inappropriate by grabbing and girls and getting in people faces including his friends faces. But thats ok because he fell down the stairs and hit his head and they were gone.
By the 7th inning we had enuff called it a night only to wait in a line for 2 hours for our shuttle to get back to Dodger Stadium. So besides waitin in a line for 2 hours and people constantly blocking our view I had a great time.

Today Sammy, Yoshi, Chris and I went to the Kings game. They lost as usual. After we got back into town Chris, Sammy, Sooch and I went to see Come Back Kid. The show was ok, i wasnt really into any of the other bands besides CBK. The best part was Chris tryin to be a super fan and sing all the songs and Sammy stage diving on him every time Chris was up in the front, haha.

Swap Meet & Farmers Market

This mornin i got up around 9 , showered and got ready to go the the Swap meet on Melrose. Chris met me at my house around 9:45. We headed over to Cleo's house to meet her and her brother Cal. We were meeting up with this guy Frank that Cleo met through her friend Courtney. I had met him once before when i was in SF. He is a pretty entertaining guy ( i dont know if he knows or not). He has this kinda FOB accent which maybe because hes from Taiwan but maybe he is faking it since i guess hes been here since middle school. Well anyway on top of his accent he makes these pretty bad racial asian jokes which i cant help but laugh at, but hey, its ok, im japanese. We were suppose to meet Frank at the swap meet around 11 but we lagged a lil which ended up being ok since Frank kinda got lost anyway. We walked around saw some shitty over priced stuff and some equally as shitty people. After an hour or so we had enuff and decided to grab some lunch at the Farmers Market. Of course of hit up my favorite spot in there, Pampas Grill, its a Brazilian BBQ spot where you fill your plate with sides and tell then what kinda meat you want and you pay by the pound. Chris, Frank and I ate the Brazilian food but Cleo and Cal had some Russian food that looked like some jacked up pizza with spinach on it, haha. We finished eating and headed home. After we got back into town I headed over to John and Joannes to hang out with them and Dan, Natasha & Anthony for a bit. Jamie, Aria & Jordan stopped by to say Happy Bday to Dan and Joanne and they hung out for a lil. At about i think 6 or so Dan & I headed over to his house so he could meet up with Chris so they could go see Madball. I hung out with Natasha and Amanduh and ordered in some dinner and watched tv. Another full week of work to look forward to, woohoo. AIGHT LATE.

Busy Saturday

This mornin got up around 10am and headed to work. Workin on saturdays kinda sucks, but oh well. I got there around 11am and waited about half hour or so or Danimal to show up. We did our thing, got our work done and we were out of there at 4pm. I got home relaxed for a lil then started gettin ready to go to a bday dinner for Dan & Joanne at Tuscany. I shined my shoes ironed my shirt took a shower got dressed and i was on my way. I went to Dan & Natasha's and drove together to the restaurant at about 6:30pm ish. We met John, Joanne, Matt & Cleo at Tuscany. The food there is really awesome so i was excited. For starters i had a arugula and a lil mascarpone cheese wrapped in smoked salmon, man was it good. For my entree i had duck in a cherry/port wine sauce with pumpkin raviolis, sooo good. I usually dont like fruit sauces on meat but this was awesome. For desert and lil blueberry cheesecake with some fresh berries and some coffee. I was definitely satisfied. After dinner we headed over to John and Joannes and hung out for a bit and then called it a night.

Ancestors & Razorbacks

Tonight after i got off work, Chris and I had dinner at Angel Cafe (weird, i never go there...). After we ate we met with with Dan and Sammy and headed to China Town to watch Ancestors and Razorbacks. The show was for the Ancestors cd release which is pretty tight and the Razorbacks played their first show which was awesome. Ancestors were really really loud as always and Chris, Sammy or Dan could not handle it and had to leave the room (lil baby bitches). I tried takin some pics but only got a couple good shots which i may post later. I dont think i left the show till about 1am. Sammy, Dan & Chris were hungry on teh way home so we stooped by Del Taco. After all was said and done i was finally in bed at 3am. I havent stayed out that late in a long time, damn im an old man.

So todays was Dans Bday. It was a pretty low key get together. Sammy, Amanduh and I went to his house ordered some dinner from Sea Casa and ate some ice cream cake. I got him 2 Yankees caps, Natasha got him a Diamond Supply Co. and Fresh Jive t-shirts, His Parents got him a cast iron skillet. Dans moms bday is next week so this saturday we are goin to Tuscany Il Ristorante in Westlake to celebrate both of their bdays, im pretty excited.

Just another Sunday

Slept in this mornin. I got ready and headed over to Audi in Westlake to meet up with Dan & Matt. Dan got a Q7. Its a Westlake mom car but its pretty nice.
After Dan got all his car stuff worked out we met John, Joanne and Cleo for lunch at Brents.
We stuffed our faces and headed over to John & Joannes to hang out. Natasha and Anthony came over and Natasha got to drive "her new car" haha
Matt was playing the drums and Anthony was waay into it. He would not let Matt stop playing. When Matt would stop playing and would demand "MORE" , haha.

Matt was finally able to get away from the drums and we let Anthony lay down some beats

We kinda had to battle with Anthony to get him out of the music room but when we did he got to play with his "Papa" so he was fine.

Langers & Kings

So this Mornin i got up a lil before 9am got ready waited for Chris to come over. When he got to my house we headed over to Dans place. We met up with Sammy also and by 10am ish we were on our way to Dans job site in downtown LA where he had to check up on a couple things. Sammy, Chris & I went up on the roof and took some pics.

So we headed over to Staples Center for the Kings game. On the way as we were taking a right turn i caught eyes with a mexican dood stuffing his face with some sort of food and he started yelling, " ID,ID,ID". i just started laughing at him. This dood chased our car around the corner continuing to yell, "ID,ID,ID". I guess he really wanted to sell us fake ID's even though we were all 21 and over. We also passed by the Westlake Theatre and Swap Meet, haha.
We arrived at the Kings game in time to catch warm ups which i had never seen, it was pretty rad.

I guess Chris thought warm ups were pretty boring. The lil baby bitch fell asleep.
Well anyway the Kings were loosing most of the game and made a huge comeback in the 3rd period to send the game into overtime. Overtime only lasted a a couple minutes and the Kings lost.

After the game we headed back to Dans house and relaxed for a lil. Amanduh came over and we ordered Wood Ranch for dinner. right after we got done eating Matt and Cleo showed up so we all hung out for a couple hours.

So last weekend started out pretty good. Went and saw the Kings on friday and they beat the Calgary Flames 6-3. Jack Johnson tried to pick a fight with Jerome Inginla the Captain of the Flames whom is pretty tuff and usually willing to fight, but i guess maybe he felt he would not get anything out of fighting a young guy like Jack Johnson.
On saturday i went with Natasha and Anthony to Susie Cakes in Calabasas to get some cupcakes. I had never had em and Natasha said they were suppose to be as good as the cupcakes from Sprinkles. After trying one i still think Sprinkles is better but Susie Cakes is definitely much closer.

Im not sure what was in those cupcakes but it made Natasha a lil nuts.

After Natasha chilled out we watched Anthony tag all over the ground.

On Sunday i met up with Dan, Natasha, Anthony, John & Joanne for lunch at Sea Casa.
After we ate lunch Dan, John and I headed over to the car dealerships on TO Blvd. We spent some time lookin at Chevy Tahoe's and GMC Yukon's. Im pretty sure Dan & John are super into the Yukon Denali. The guy that helped us at the Chevy dealership was a shithead and would not make a deal at all, he just kept on shifting around numbers to make it seem like you were getting a deal but in the end you were still paying the same price. The guy that helped us at the GMC dealership was far more knowledgeable and was willing with work on better pricing, but in the end buying a car is still a bitch. After doin that for a few hours we headed Back to John and Joannes. Natasha and Anthony came over and we ordered some chinese food from Lakeview Garden.
On Monday Chris and I went to Eggs and Things for the first time. I got something called the CA Scrambled, it was pretty delicious. After we stuffed our faces we chilled at my house and watched Ratatouille which was pretty entertaining. At about 5pm i met up with Dan and Chris Villa and headed to the Kings game. We tried to grab some food from Pizzeria Mozza but the wait was 45min so we had to pass. We ended up at the Pantry which is right by the Staples Center.
So after we ate we headed over to Staples Center to watch the Kings get their asses kicked by the Phoenix Coyotes
The Kings Ended up losing 4-0. Dan was pretty upset about it.
